Oktoberfest
The largest Beer Festival in the world is the Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany, which annually takes place at late September and early October. The festival lasts for roughly 16 days and is the most famous event of the city, and the largest festival in the world. Yearly visitors to the festival number over six million. Germany plays host to a number of other beer festivals, such as Stuttgart’s Beer Festival. However, most of these are imitations of the festival in Munich and are often also called Oktoberfest.

Great British Beer Festival
The largest beer festival in the United Kingdom is the Great British Beer Festival, annually taking place in London every August. The festival sees some 65,000 visitors every year and exhibits around 450 different beers.

Oktoberfest Blumenau
A large, yearly Oktoberfest is held in the city of Blumenau in Brazil (2004 saw 600,000 visitors to the festival). Similar festivals take place in the cities Santa Cruz do Sul and Igrejinha in Brazil and the town of Villa General Belgrano in Argentina.

Great American Beer Festival
The largest beer festival in North America is the Kitchener-Waterloo Oktoberfest held in the neighboring cities of Kitchener and Waterloo in Ontario, Canada, which are home to many residents of German origin.
